尹莫違從事文化、藝術寫作及翻譯，專攻音樂評論。他的中、英文文章見於不同刊物及網站。尹氏也為音樂會撰寫節目介紹和主持導賞講座，亦曾製作兼主持關於藝術的電臺節目。他收藏西方古典音樂歷史錄音，並整理指揮家赫爾曼．舍爾興的錄音目錄。
